Welcome to CELEG

Since its inception in 2021, the Center for Leadership, Ethics, and Governance (CELEG) has pursued a bold vision: to empower Africa’s youth to lead with integrity, innovation, and inclusivity. Founded to address the critical need for ethical leadership, CELEG is committed to equipping one million young African leaders by 2030 to drive sustainable development across the continent.

We believe leadership is the cornerstone of progress, shaping equitable societies and strengthening democratic institutions. Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform where young leaders exchange innovative ideas, engage in civic initiatives, and co-create solutions aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063. By harnessing the creativity and energy of Africa’s youth -the continent’s largest demographic dividend – we drive systemic change.

CELEG’s world-class team of African-focused, globally-minded professionals leads our four Centers of Youth Action, focusing on leadership development, civic engagement, innovation, and social impact. Our inclusive programs empower youth, regardless of background, to navigate democratic processes, advocate for human rights, and contribute to development strategies, fostering a just and prosperous Africa.

Join us in this transformative journey to empower a generation of ethical, visionary leaders to pioneer an inclusive, sustainable future for Africa.
